POSITION SUMMARY
Oversees operation of assigned concessions outlets, supervises concessions associates and non-profit volunteers (if applicable), in accordance with the Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Supervises and coordinates activities of concession associates on a per shift basis, including scheduling, training, counseling and enforcing work procedures and service standards
• Observes, evaluates, and documents job performance of stand attendants, stand leaders, and assists with stand personnel performance.
• Inspects all stands and portables in the assigned area.
• Ensures that all equipment is set up properly and operating efficiently and accurately.
• Ensures all stands, portable carts and surrounding areas remain clean, sanitized, and safe
• Analyzes and resolves all problems with associates, guests, and the operation with the assistance of management.
• Cashes out associates following cash handling procedures; investigates “over and shorts” with stand leaders and volunteer groups.
• Estimates, requests, and inspects supplies and inventory.
• Ensures accuracy of all deliveries
• Adheres to and enforces inventory and labor control measures
• Performs opening and closing procedures for assigned area
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Specifically, responsible for: Managing non-exempt department staff, including hiring, scheduling, training and development. Developing accurate and aggressive long and short-range financial objectives consistent with Company objectives. Creating and developing menus, beverage lists and prices, and responsible for the selection of product, linens, uniforms, and décor used within the property’s facility. Working with General Manager to purchase products to fill requests; ensure accurate quantities of food and beverages are ordered as specified by the menu created. Monitoring activities of associates to achieve set objectives; ensure adequate function staffing. Investigate and Resolve food quality issues and service complaints. Confer with guests and other personnel to determine menus and follow through with details concerning catering events.
Our Expectations: Candidate’s must have: Minimum of 3 years progressive management experience in multi-unit food and beverage operations; upscale/fine dining and special event catering experience is required. Operational financial management accountability and budgeting experience is required. Strong financial acumen; ability to analyze data and make decisions. Unit Summary: The following positions will be located at Target Field, the NEW Minnesota Twins stadium in Minneapolis, MN, home to the MLB American League Minnesota Twins. Sportservice has been awarded a full service contract for this 40,000+-seat state of the art facility, which will include concessions, premium services, catering and retail! The revenues for this contract are estimated to be $43 million. The facility is scheduled to open in Spring 2010. We are seeking candidates for the following opportunities with an anticipated start date of July 2009.
Your Role: The successful candidate will oversee the effective operation of the vending department, including: Assist in recruiting and hiring of vending commissary workers, cashiers, managers and food / beer vendors. Proper training and re-training of the commissary associates and vendors to meet all company and unit standards to include sobriety programs. Ensure that the appropriate staffing levels are met for each event through proper scheduling. Ensure that the appropriate accounting procedures are being followed and the vendors are being serviced appropriately. Check on the vending commissaries to ensure they balance and close out in a timely manner according to company policy.
Our Expectations: Candidates must have: Minimum of two years vending experience; strong concessions background is preferred. Excellent verbal communication and supervisory skills required. Ability to analyze data and make decisions independently. Minimum of a 2-year degree with studies concentrated in business or food service management is preferred. Knowledge of Micros preferred.
