Tampa Sportservice / Delaware North is now hiring part time positions at the Amalie Arena, a state-of-the-art entertainment facility.

AMALIE Arena in Tampa, Florida was recently ranked the #1 venue in the state of Florida by Venues Today magazine.  Located in the heart of Tampa Bay, the Amalie Arena is Florida’s premier entertainment venue and home of the 2004 Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning and Five-Time Arena Football Champion Tampa Bay Storm.  With a variety of configurations, it’s an outstanding venue for concerts, conventions and family entertainment.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Concessions Manager, Asst Concessions Manager, Supervisor, serves and/or prepares food and beverage concessions in accordance with the Company’s Blue Ribbon Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Concessions Crew Member   – Responsible for following supervisor assignments for opening procedures, food preparation, event operation, and closing procedures. Keep work area clean and sufficiently stocked.  Prepare food and beverage items for guest’s order using proper preparation procedures, menu costing standards, and sanitation guidelines.  Prior experience is helpful, but not required.  Position requires open availability for all events. 

Concessions Cashier - Follow supervisor assignments for opening procedures, food preparation, event operation, and closing procedures. Initiate sales, sell up to larger items and sizes, and add on to sales. Record all sales transactions through the POS units.  Inform guest of amount owed; count back correct change and end transactions in a positive way.  Ensure compliance with all alcohol policies. Make cash drops as directed. Report any POS entry errors to the Supervisor.  Prior cash handling experience is preferred.  Position requires open availability for all events. 

Concessions Cook – Prepare items in the stand using a grill or fryer.  Responsible for ensuring the timely and professional operation of the food preparation areas.  Ensure food is cooked thoroughly and items are prepared according to menu.  Follow food safety standards. Position requires open availability for all events. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
No experience required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s Blue Ribbon Service Standards.
  • Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training
  • Basic math skills; ability to accurately account for cash and inventory.
  • Effective communication skills; ability to communicate with guests and receive orders.
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.
• Ability to remain stationary for entire length of shift
• Ability to perform normal lifting of stock up to 35 pounds.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• May be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme hot and cold, depending on season and location of assigned work area
• May be required to work in confined and/or narrow spaces

Position Summary:

Job Summary:

The Concession Stand Manager must adhere to high food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction. Product quality, portion control, food waste and sanitation are areas that the Concession Stand Manager must be aware of and implement while operating and supervising the concession stands and the concession attendants. The Concession Stand Manager is responsible for product inventory, paperwork, and stand employees’ production. This person will ensure that the greatest customer service is being offered by all employees during the event. The Concession Stand Manager will count product in the beginning and at the end of the shift and report any discrepancies in the inventory control.


The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled and some non-event days per business need.

Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for keeping accurate inventory for all product before and after each event.
• Responsible for maintaining quality and production standards on all menu items. Food must be fresh and of high quality when served to the guests.
• Responsible for keeping the highest level of customer service from his/her self and all employees that he/she is supervising.
• Ensures that all work areas and equipment are clean, food products are properly stored, utensils are clean and put away and floor is swept and mopped at end of shift. The Concession Stand Manger must be checked out before ending the shift by the Floor Level Leader to ensure the concession stand meets cleanliness standards.
• Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
• Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.

Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.

• Attention to detail, ability to follow job procedures and supervisors' instructions
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift, carry, and transport boxes and materials up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work long and irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays
• Average shift is 10 hours in length
• Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs during entire shift

Experience:

• Experience working as a supervisor or management in a fast food or high volume restaurant or stadium or similar experience is required.
• Willingness to handle and serve all varieties of food (including, but not limited to poultry, pork, beef, dairy, etc.).

The Sous Chef will provide oversight for all culinary aspects of the restaurant department with daily supervision and production of the kitchen operations. 

Responsibilities

  • Fully responsible for menu development, scheduling, food and labor costs and sanitation. Plans, prepares and cooks high volume meals, banquets, and catered food to guests and employees. 
  • Responsible for management of the kitchen, including supervising activities of cooks, scheduling, training, implementation of policies and procedures, coordinate and actively participate in event operations and monitor food and labor costs. 
  • Plan menus, catering packages and daily specials, maintaining financial responsibility for the menu mix. 
  • Oversees inventory of food product and coordinates product ordering and receiving within corporate specifications.

Qualifications

We are seeking an innovative culinary professional with 3 years Culinary Arts experience in a high volume operation including previous supervisory experience required.

  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including fine dining, and banquet catering.
  • Familiar with monitoring food and labor costs, menu development and costing.
  • Familiar with ordering and inventory procedures.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred. ACF certification preferred. Must obtain certification within 2 years of employment. Candidate must complete a cooking practical.
  • Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to excellence in guest service.

Line Cook - Cardinal Nation Restaurant (St. Louis, MO)

Position Summary

The role of the line cook is to safely prepare all menu items for foodservice in a safe and sanitary environment.  The line cook needs to be able to work any station in the kitchen as well as be efficient to maintain acceptable ticket times with a full monitor. The line cooks needs to be able to prepare all food items for all stations in a timely manner while following standard recipes.   The line cook needs to maintain a high level of performance, while ensuring guest satisfaction and profitability in accordance with the company’s service and operational standards.  The line cook should follow the supervisor on duty.   

Essential Functions

  • Prepares all food items to order, following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits.
  • Always uses the entire time cycle on the fryers/grill.
  • Proper maintenance, filtering and usage of the fryers/grill.
  • Properly measures and assembles ingredients required for preparing the standard recipes.
  • Cuts and/or portions meat, fish and poultry.
  • Uses scale to ensure proper portioning of food items and minimize waste of products.
  • Accepts or rejects ingredients based on quality and quantity.
  • Cleans, organizes, and maintains walk-in refrigerator, cooler drawers, prep and dry storage.
  • Maintains work area in a clean, sanitary and safe manner.
  • Understands and complies with food safety and temperature standards.
  • Assists with inventory control with proper production management to minimize waste.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety standards throughout the kitchen; follows and upholds all health codes and sanitation regulations.

Position Summary

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience monitoring food and labor cost, menu development and costing. Experience with ordering and inventory procedures.

What to Know:

  • Basic Food Knowledge is expected
    • Making basic Sauces, Good Knife Skills, Understanding of different cooking techniques.
    • Prepares food to specifications before and during unit operations.
    • Properly measures and portions all food items. Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures.
    • Cooks all food to proper specifications in a timely manner.
    • Utilizes kitchen equipment to prepare food items such as: knives, slicers, whips, pots, pans, warmers, steamers, grills, ovens, etc.
  • Sanitation
    • Ensures proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly.
    • Ensures freshness and quality of all menu items.
    • Performs clean-up duties in the kitchen to maintain the quality appearance of the work area, including cleaning equipment.

Come prepared to take a written culinary exam. The test will cover the basic cooking & sanitation questions. Following the exam, a brief interview will be conducted with a Chef. Upon completion of your skill assessment, you may be required to take a physical cooking exam.

POSITION SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Circulates among guests within assigned section; calls out and sells alcohol and alcohol-related products, while adhering to alcohol service regulations/laws.

POSITION SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Food & Beverage Service duties
• Greets guests approaching stand
• Serves food and beverage items in correct proportions, following proper sanitation guidelines
• Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, and adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Records all waste
• Acquaints guests with items for sale and uses suggestive selling techniques
• Participates in set-up of stand, arranges inventory, notifies Stand Lead of any inventory deficiency or shortages
• Performs clean-up duties in the stand to maintain the quality appearance of the work area, including cleaning equipment

• Properly records all transactions via the point of sale system and informs guests of the amounts owed
• Collects the proper money for food and beverage items; processes credit card or determines correct change for guests

• Prepares food products in stand according to Company standards and specifications
• Shows flexibility by rotating to other stands when necessary.

CONCESSION STAND ATTENDANT - Milwaukee Sportservice at Miller Park (Milwaukee, WI)

UNIT NAME: MILWAUKEE SPORTSERVICE AT MILLER PARK
REPORTS TO: CONCESSIONS MANAGER

SHIFT/HOURS REQUIRED: DAYS, NIGHTS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS
AGE REQUIREMENT : 18 YEARS OR OLDER

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Stand Manager or Level Supervisor, serves food and beverage concessions in accordance with the Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Food & Beverage Service duties
• Greets guests approaching stand
• Serves food and beverage items in correct proportions, following proper sanitation guidelines
• Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Records all waste.
• Acquaints guests with items for sale and uses suggestive selling techniques
• Participates in set-up of stand, arranges inventory, notifies Stand Lead of any inventory deficiency or shortages
• Performs clean-up duties in the stand to maintain the quality appearance of the work area, including cleaning equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Cashier duties (if applicable)
• Properly records all transactions via the point of sale system and informs guests of the amounts owed.
• Collects the proper money for food and beverage items; processes credit card or determines correct change for guests.
• Accounts for all transactions; maintains accurate cash count and balance banks at end of shift

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Prepares food products in stand according to Company standards and specifications
• Shows flexibility by rotating to other stands when necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards
• Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training
• Basic math skills; ability to accurately account for cash and inventory.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.
• Ability to remain stationary for entire length of shift
• Ability to perform normal lifting of stock up to 50 pounds.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• May be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme hold and cold, depending on season
• May be required to work in confined and/or narrow spaces

• Receives drink orders from patrons or servers.
• Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons following standard recipes and using company standardized proportions; serves wine and bottled beer or draws draught beer.
• Enters drink orders into cash register, collects payment from patrons for drinks served and makes correct change.
• Completes Daily Bar Sales Report accurately
• Maintains bar stock by ordering or requisitioning liquors, beverages, condiments and supplies.
• Cleans and stores bar equipment and bar stock

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• One to two years previous experience as a bartender in a high volume environment with a heavy cocktail menu.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Ability to complete required pre-employment alcohol service training
• Basic math skills, with ability to accurately total guest checks and make correct change.

Position Summary

Serves food and beverage products in banquet setting in accordance with the Company’s alcohol policies, GuestPath Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Sets up tables for function in accordance with banquet event order (BEO)
  • Accurately transports food and beverages to guests in a timely manner

·         Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.

  • Performs necessary tasks to service guests including: taking and filling drink orders, providing refills, answering questions, and clearing of dirty dishes
  • Notifies guests of food and beverage preparation techniques

  • Replenishes food on buffet lines (if applicable)

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Concessions Manager and Level Supervisors, oversees operation of assigned concessions stand(s), including stock, sales and all cash receipts and supervises stand personnel, in accordance with the Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards. 

Essential Functions:

·         Supervises and coordinates activities of stand attendants and cooks; trains and assigns duties within the stand to meet guest needs

·         Observes, evaluates and documents job performances of cashiers and stand attendants.

·         Picks up operating bank and enforces company cash handling procedures

·         Advises and enforces company policy, safety regulations and sanitation while maintaining a productive and enjoyable working environment

·         Ensures that all equipment in the stand is set up and operating efficiently and accurately

·         Ensures quality of products and accurate preparation of all food and beverage items as listed on stand sheet.

·         Checks/monitors temperatures of cooked and holding products during shift at least three times per shift

·         Ensures a quality appearance of the concession stand at all times; ensures that all work stations and the back of stands and storerooms remain clean. 

·         Initiates and organizes procedures to set the standard for the event.

·         Maintains level of inventory for stand throughout shift; orders replacement stock as necessary by estimating, requisitioning and inspecting supplies and inventory

·         Analyzes and resolves all guest and associate problems with the assistance of Level Supervisors

·         Oversees and participates in stand set-up and closing procedures; prepares stand sheets, balances inventory to cash, and closes out point-of-sale system with appropriate reports.

·         Investigates discrepancies in monies and inventories with supervisors.

·         Efficiently and accurately completes assigned paper work; keeps personal records of “left” and “sold” figures.

·         Cooperatively and efficiently ensures quality in regards to completing stand manager assignments/duties where staffing requires more than one stand.

·         Reports all needed stand repairs to the Level Supervisor.

·         Reports to scheduled events in a timely manner

Non-essential Functions:

  • Recommends personnel actions as promotions, transfers, discharges and other disciplinary actions
  • Recommends measures to improve service, equipment, work performance, and quality of products and service
  • Perform duties of stand attendant as needed to ensure a smooth functioning stand.

Education & Experience:

  • Previous cash handling/cashier experience required.
  • Previous experience as a stand attendant or other food service worker preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards
  • Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training
  • Basic math skills; ability to accurately account for cash and inventory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate with staff and to prepare written stand reports after each event.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; able to direct the work activities of several associates simultaneously and plan ahead.   
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a pleasant and friendly manner
  • Ability to follow job procedures and supervisors’ instructions
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment for a seven hour shift with the possibility of overtime required on short notice
  • Maintains good personal hygiene in a clean and complete uniform

Physical Requirements:

  • Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions. 
  • Ability to remain stationary for entire length of shift
  • Ability to perform normal lifting of stock up to 50 pounds.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Stand Manager or Level Supervisor, serves food and beverage from a concession stand in accordance with the Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

Essential Functions:

Food & Beverage Service duties

·         Participates in set-up of stand, arranges inventory, notifies Stand Leader of any inventory deficiency or shortages

·         Greets guests approaching stand

·         Prepares and serves food and beverage items in correct proportions, following proper sanitation guidelines according to Company standards and specifications

·         Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, adhering to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.

·         Records all waste.

·         Acquaints guest with items for sale and uses suggestive selling techniques

·         Performs clean-up duties in the stand to maintain the quality appearance of the work area, including cleaning equipment.

·         Rotates to other stands when necessary.

·         Reports to work scheduled events on a timely basis.

 

Cashier duties (if applicable)

·         Properly records all transactions via the point of sale system and informs guests of the amounts owed.

·         Collects the proper money for food and beverage items; processes credit card or determines correct change for guests.

·         Accounts for all transactions; maintains accurate cash count and balance banks at end of shift

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Oversees operation of assigned concessions outlets, supervises concessions associates and non-profit volunteers (if applicable), in accordance with the Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.   

Essential Functions:

  • Supervises and coordinates activities of concession associates on a per shift basis, including scheduling, training, counseling and enforcing work procedures and service standards

·         Observes, evaluates, and documents job performance of stand attendants, stand leaders, and assists with stand personnel performance.

·         Inspects all stands and portables in the assigned area.

  • Ensures that all equipment is set up properly and operating efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensures all stands, portable carts and surrounding areas remain clean, sanitized, and safe
  • Analyzes and resolves all problems with associates, guests, and the operation with the assistance of management.
  • Cashes out associates following cash handling procedures; investigates “over and shorts” with stand leaders and volunteer groups.

·         Estimates, requests, and inspects supplies and inventory.

  • Ensures accuracy of all deliveries
  • Adheres to and enforces inventory and labor control measures
  • Performs opening and closing procedures for assigned area
