Your Role: The Director of Merchandising is responsible for the management of retail outlets, retail sales and retail employees, as well as the purchase and merchandising of all licensed product. Manage implementation of programs for stores and portables to meet corporate standards and achieve revenue goals. Responsibilities will include:
? Ensure proper hiring, promoting and termination of Retail Supervisors and employees; provide instruction on company policies and procedures to supervisors and ensure proper follow-through.
? Ensure proper staffing for all events in accordance with union contract.
? Planning, manage in-store merchandising and display to ensure maximum visual impact and revenue.
? Retail staff training and development.
? Responsible for meeting established retail sales and profit goals set by the General Manager and Delaware North Companies Corporate Director of Retail.
? Administer an effective system for cash, inventory, yield control and payroll
? Monitor financial performance, utilization of markdowns, and implement corrective action plans as needed.
? Develop and implement customer and employee promotions.
Our Expectations: Qualified candidates must have:
? Minimum of 5-7 years retail operations management experience including proven skills in purchasing and merchandising (or equivalent), and minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a high volume union environment preferred.
? Experience in sales, purchasing and merchandising of officially licensed sports team related merchandise is preferred.
? Strong customer service orientation
? High-level proficiency in both Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel is required.
? RetailPro POS experience is preferred.

Upon completion for the 2010 season, this Major League Soccer stadium will serve as the home of the Red Bull New York soccer team. With seating for 25,000 guests, Red Bull Arena will be among the very best in the League. Sportservice will be the exclusive food and retail provider operating concessions, all-inclusive suites and a club, a pub, a team and online store. Unit Summary: The following positions will be located at Target Field, the NEW Minnesota Twins stadium in Minneapolis, MN, home to the MLB American League Minnesota Twins. Sportservice has been awarded a full service contract for this 40,000+-seat state of the art facility, which will include concessions, premium services, catering and retail! The revenues for this contract are estimated to be $43 million. The facility is scheduled to open in Spring 2010.
Your Role: This position is responsible for overall store operations including driving sales for the new stadium team store. Specifically: Responsible for store merchandising, product display, inventory levels and store cleanliness. Hire, train, schedule and manage the performance of all associates and managers to consistently meet the required standards. Manage and drive store sales results. Challenge and inspire sales associates and management team members to achieve sales, and company initiatives. Manage payroll through evaluating business trends, forecasting sales, flexing schedules (including managers) to meet the needs of the business. Preparing all reconciliations and deposits for the store as well as reporting shortages/overages. Demonstrate and inspire a strong Guest Service ethic in a selling environment. Responsible to report sales; markdowns, and gross margin weekly to Retail Manager.
Our Expectations: Qualified candidates should have: Minimum of three (3) years experience in a sales-driven retail store environment required. Knowledge of merchandising techniques and retail operations, policies, and procedures. Ability to train personnel. Effective verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail. Retail Pro experience preferred.
