Our Alcohol Compliance Team (ACT) Members are responsible for staying on the service floor during stadium and event center events, working in partnership with alcohol service staff as they ensure policy adherence and proper alcohol service at all stands, bars and other assigned locations.

- Previous experience in a compliance or monitor role highly preferred.
- Military, police, security or similar a plus!
- Must have or be able to obtain a MAST 12 before your first day of work.
- Ideal candidates maintain an assertive, authoritative presence with the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
- Must be able to work all Sounders FC and Seahawks home games. Additional hours may be available based on event schedules.

The basic duties of this important role include monitoring alcohol service and providing support to servers in an assigned section of the stadium or event center; assisting in guest alcohol service questions and concerns; and providing general feedback on alcohol service compliance to the supervisor on duty.

Primary Functions:

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Concessions Manager and Level Supervisors, oversees operation of assigned concessions stand(s) and supervises stand personnel, in accordance with the Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Supervises and coordinates activities of stand attendants; assigns duties within the stand; enforces company policies and procedures
• Observes, evaluates and documents job performances of cashiers and stand attendants.
• Ensures quality of products and accurate preparation of all food and beverage items as listed on stand sheet.
• Ensures a quality appearance of the concession stand at all times; ensures that all work stations and the back of stands and storerooms remain clean.
• Maintains level of inventory for stand throughout shift; orders replacement stock as necessary.
• Oversees and participates in stand set-up and closing procedures; prepares stand sheets, balances inventory to cash, and closes out point-of-sale system with appropriate reports.
• Picks up operating bank and enforces company cash handling procedures
• Investigates discrepancies in monies and inventories with supervisors.
• Analyzes and resolves all guest and associate problems with the assistance of Level Supervisors
• Reports all needed stand repairs to the Level Supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Performs duties of Stand Attendant as needed
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• WA Food Handlers Card
• Class 12 Mast Permit
• Previous cash handling/cashier experience required.
• Previous experience as a stand attendant or other food service worker preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards
• Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training
• Basic math skills; ability to accurately account for cash and inventory.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate with staff and to prepare written stand reports after each event.
• Strong time management and organizational skills; able to direct the work activities of several associates simultaneously and plan ahead.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.
• Ability to remain stationary for entire length of shift

Our Concession Stand Runners are responsible for supporting cashiers and leads in operation of the assigned work location(s). Duties may include cleaning and organizing stand and condiment cart areas, assisting with inventory counts, checking on food orders and filling orders for cashiers/leads as needed. May serve pre-poured beer as needed, but may not handle cash or directly pull from a beer tap. 

Must be 18+ with a current MAST 13 and WA State Food Handler's permit no later than the first event shift. This position is perfect for a friendly hard worker builiding their work experience in customer service or food service. Successful Runners will be automatically promoted to Cashier on their 21st birthday, assuming completion of a MAST 12 license. 

Essential Functions:

·         Greets guests approaching stand in the absence of Stand Lead or Attendant

·         Prepares and, in partnership with Stand Attendant, serves food and non-alcoholic beverage items in correct proportions, following proper sanitation guidelines

·         Records all waste.

·         Participates in set-up of stand, arranges inventory, notifies Stand Lead of any inventory deficiency or shortages

The Opportunity

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial and reporting functions for the unit including accounting, supervision, payroll, annual plan, audit assistance and cash management, as well as financial analysis of the operation. In addition:

  • Preparation, review and approval of: Daily Sales Report, accounts receivable, payroll, and accounts payable.
  • Responsible for analyzing and reporting variances, monthly financial projections, month-end accounting duties, oversees audit requirements. 
  • Oversees cash management and ensures segregation of duties.
  • Control and direct inventory.  Validate accuracy of inventory variance.
  • Implementation and enforcement of internal controls; ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • In conjunction with General Manager, coordinate and direct the preparation of the annual plan budget and financial forecast.
  • Analyze and interpret accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the unit.

We are seeking a Controller that is deadline driven, ability to prioritize and adapt to the fast paced nature of our business, and able to work with a diverse group of managers at all levels.  Candidates will be considered for this unique opportunity that have at least 5 years accounting experience managing a multi department operation in the hospitality industry similar to the size and complexity of our baseball operation is highly preferred.  Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance highly preferred.  Candidates who have strong knowledge in inventory controls, internal controls, audits and cash management is a must.  Experienced in PeopleSoft Financials Software or similar system, Hyperion a plus and Microsoft Office. 

Must be able to work a flexible schedule of days, nights, weekends and holidays.  The hours at our operation fluctuate based on event schedule.

We are seeking a Human Resource Manager who has a passion for high volume non-exempt recruiting, training & compliance, handling employee relations, including conducting investigations. 

  • Candidates with a minimum 5 years HR management experience, with at least 1-3 years HR Generalist experience with experience working in a seasonal environment similar to our baseball stadium, will be considered for this unique opportunity.

The contracting out of our concession stands to non-profit groups for fundraising purposes is a community service that benefits both the non-profit organization and Delaware North Sportservice. Delaware North Sportservice is one of the largest providers of quality food and beverages to professional sporting teams. We employ and provide fundraising opportunities to thousands of people and organizations nationwide.

Our fundraising program is a great way for highly motivated non-profit groups such as yours to raise funds while providing quality service to the fans at CenturyLink Field. Non profit groups have used this opportunity as a way to raise the much needed funds for equipment, supplies and activities. Our Concession Stand fundraising programs build teamwork and character amongst your volunteers.

The group must supply the required number of adults to run their assigned concession stand properly. All fundraisers who work in the stands must be 18 and older for the purpose of selling alcohol. These fundraisers must understand that they will be required to work hard and present a positive image befitting a representative of Seattle Seahawks and Sounders FC Delaware North Sportservice. All volunteers must wear the Sportservice uniform and attend all orientation and training classes required so they are each able to positively represent yoru organization and provide the expected level of service to the fans.

In return for your group's work and effort, Sportservice will donate a commission based on gross sales, minus applicable sales tax and any shortage that may occur.  Commission percentages vary by commitment level.

Premium Department Supervisor - Seattle Sportservice at CenturyLink Field (Seattle, WA)

Seattle Sportservice is the exclusive provider of food and beverage for CenturyLink Field, CenturyLink Field Event Center and WaMu Theater. The departemnt supervisor is responsible for ensuring assigned areas are clean, stocked, and in working order priot to event day. On event day, the supervisor oversees staff and service at all assigned locations. Supervisors may also be involved in inventory counts, cash handling, training, and other tasks as assigned.

This is a full time position, averaging 30-40 hours per week. Must be available for work all home Sounders FC and Seahawks games. Additional event shifts may be assigned. 

For consideration, applicants must have a minimum of six (6) months experience in a supervisory role, overseeing food service and hourly workers in an upscale bar or restaurant of similar size and activity level. Stadium/arena concessions experience a plus. A proven track record of working well under pressure, effective and professional communication skills, and a friendly, approachable demeanor.

Essential Functions:

Trains and supervises Premium Department staff, including but not limited to suite attendants/runners/pantry coordinators, bartenders/servers/bussers, and frontline catering staff for assigned section(s); observes and documents job performance.

  • Ensures staff is prepared for all events, including set-up and food deliveries as applicable; conducts walk-through to check for any maintenance issues

·         Ensures all food and other merchandise presentation and displays meet company standards

·         Ensures food and beverage orders arrive timely in all areas

·         Ensures responsible alcohol service and reports any violations.

  • Maintains high standards of friendly guest service by circulating in assigned sections, greets all guests

·         Answers guest questions regarding food preparation or ingredients, service or billing.

·         Resolves guest complaints, with assistance of department manager

·         Ensures that all work stations, pantries and storerooms remain clean and sufficiently stocked; ensures replacement stock is ordered.

·         Ensures all sanitation practices are used and Department of Health guidelines are followed; reports safety hazards and repairs items.

·         Completes closing duties according to company procedures.

·         Performs other duties as assigned

Non-essential Functions:

  • Good leadership and training skills; ability to teach others as well as delegate tasks
  • Good communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with guests, and retain and communicate menu information and service preferences
  • Basic math skills; ability to accurately account for cash and inventory

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of lead or supervisory service industry experience in a hotel, full service restaurant, catering facility or club environment required; stadium/arena experience highly preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards
  • Successful with direct client interaction within a high end food and beverage, hotel/ resort or like industry
  • Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training
  • Organizational skills; detail-oriented
  • Able to follow job procedures and manager instructions
  • Strong grasp of MS Office, incluidng Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint and Word
  • Ability to work accurately, efficiently, and courteously in a high pressure environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds for set-up, service and clean up of premium areas
  • Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shift, including walking up and down stairs and lifting as the work duties demand

 

Environmental Working Conditions:

  • Variable temperatures – required to move between hot, noisy conditions of kitchen and climate-controlled dining environment
  • May be required to work in confined and/or narrow spaces

Previous supervisory experience in a like-environment is required, and a proven track record of effectively managing an hourly staff to meet operational goals is a must. Union house experience a plus! 


Essential Functions:
•Supervises commissary personnel, including assigning duties, training, coaching and counseling; reports any associate problems to manager
•Ensures proper stock of beer, soda, food and other products are in their appropriate locations
•Maintains daily awareness of product needs; determines quantities required to adequately stock commissary
•Oversees inventory control, including receiving shipments, disposing outdated material, cycle counting
•Maintains safety, security and cleanliness of storage areas, passageways, elevators and work areas
•Oversees and/or sets up machines and equipment for commissary
•Oversees the proper closing of assigned area
•Enforces company policies and safety regulations
•Initiates and organizes procedures to set standards for the warehouse
•Performs other duties as assigned
