POSITION SUMMARY
Performs basic accounting functions as needed for the department, in accordance with Company standards and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Reconciles daily cash, processes deposits and maintains change banks
• Prepares, verifies and processes invoices
• Processes journal vouchers and checks for payments.
• Bills and credits accounts involved with the accounts payable system.
• Prepares and mails bills or statements, and prepares lists of outstanding bills payable.
• Responds to questions and makes calls regarding billing problems; acts as a liaison between departments and vendor.
• Prepares journal entries and reports for daily, weekly and monthly reporting
• Maintains the general ledger; posts requisitions, receipts, and disbursement information to appropriate ledgers or journals.
• Receives and counts cash; maintains cash book or other control record.
• Compiles and distributes daily sales reports, under the direction of Controller/Accounting Manager.
• Prepares, proofs, and types financial reports; makes routine cost distributions; posts subject accounts.
• Files and maintains clerical records and reports pertinent information to accounting and bookkeeping or technical operations.
• Audits and maintains event day related documentation including stand sheets, over/short records
• Performs other duties as assigned


NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Assists with preparation of month-end accounts receivable statements, reports, and analysis.
• May prepare daily bank deposits, under direction of supervisor.
• May audit and proof accounting or other reports for clerical accuracy and conformance to departmental, county, and state procedures.
• Answers telephone questions relating to guest bills and outstanding balances and processes adjustments to guest bills.
• Assists with event day operations as necessary

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Associates Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience, required
• Must have 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or secretarial assignments involving advanced recordkeeping (directly related business school or college courses may be substituted equally for up to six (6) months' experience)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Must be willing and able to pass a pre-employment credit and criminal background check
• Working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles and practices and accepted office procedures.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude, energy and professionalism; is trustworthy, respectful and demonstrates sound work ethics
• Above average PC, Word processing, Excel spreadsheet, computerized accounting skills
• Strong mathematical skills, including knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, statistics, and their applications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to perform a volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to understand and follow complex instructions and technical or legal terminology.
• Analytical, with excellent problem solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as a team

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Manual dexterity sufficient for cash handling and typing duties
• Visual acuity sufficient to see and distinguish required reports and computer system
• Occasional bending, reaching, climbing on step stool, lifting

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Frequent exposure to, and utilization of, computer

Our Compliance Officers are responsible for staying on the service floor during stadium and event center events ensuring policy adherence and proper alcohol service at all stands, bars and other assigned locations.

- Previous experience in a compliance or monitor role highly preferred.
- Military, police, security or similar a plus!
- Must have or be able to obtain a MAST 12 before your first day of work.
- Ideal candidates maintain an assertive, authoritative presence with the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
- Must be able to work all Sounders FC and Seahawks home games. Additional hours may be available based on event schedules.

The basic duties of this important role include monitoring alcohol service and providing support to servers in an assigned section of the stadium or event center; assisting in guest alcohol service questions and concerns; and providing general feedback on alcohol service compliance to the supervisor on duty.
 

This role is perfect for a calm, friendly and compliance-oriented individual with a successful track record of working well in groups, teams and independently, as specific shifts and assigned areas may change based on business need.

Bartender - Seattle Sportservice at CenturyLink Field (Seattle, WA)

Seattle Sportservice at CenturyLink Field is seeking experienced bartenders to join our team for Sounders FC and Seahawks home games! Our bartenders work traditional, restaurant-style bars, beer portables, spirit-only locations, and beer or wine gardens for sporting events, concerts and various trade shows throughout the year.

Serves alcoholic beverages to guests responsibly, in accordance with the Company’s alcohol policies, GuestPath Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards. This may include tending bar at free-standing bars, beer portables or other areas of the stadium or event center as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Receives drink orders from patrons or servers
• Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures
• Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons following standard recipes and using company standardized proportions; serves wine and bottled beer or draws draught beer
• Enters drink orders into cash register, collects payment from patrons for drinks served and makes correct change
• Completes Daily Bar Sales Report accurately
• Maintains bar stock by ordering or requisitioning liquors, beverages, condiments and supplies
• Cleans and stores bar equipment and bar stock
• Performs opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
• Performs other duties as assigned


NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Prepares and replenishes appetizers and/or garnishes as needed

 

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
•One to two years previous experience as a bartender, beverage cart attendant or similar role in a high volume environment preferred

•Current WA State Food Handler's and Class 12 MAST.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards

• Basic math skills, with ability to accurately total guest checks and make correct change

The Control Room Representative is responsible for ensuring complete and accurate communication during Control Room hours, including but not limited to radio and phone communication across all Sportservice departments. This position will be assigned to the Control Room for all home Sounders FC and Seahawks games, and additional events as needed, and will liase with building management and facilities as appropriate.

Previous supervisory or management experience in stadium or sports arena and/or a dispatch role a plus, but not required. Must have a strong command of the English language (written and verbal), and a clear speaking voice. Must be able to sit or stand in one spot for the majority of a shift, lasting from 4 hours to 12 hours, dependent on event. The ideal candidate has a customer service-oriented demeanor, and the ability to stay calm, collected and remain detail-oriented during times of high-stress and/or activitiy. Multi-tasking and strong communication skills a must.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned for pre-event, post-event or non-event days, as needed.

This is a part-time position. Due to the nature of this role, the selected applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen as well as a criminal background and credit check.

Responsibilities
The Sous chef will assist Executive Chef with daily operation:

Responsible for overall management of the kitchen including daily production, supervising cooks, monitoring food quality, and coordinating and actively participating in event operations
Oversees inventory of food product and coordinates product ordering and receiving within corporate specifications
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen and exceed all sanitation standards.
Plan menus including daily specials while maintaining financial responsibility for the menu mix

Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years culinary experience after graduation from accredited culinary school or equivalent work experience.
Experience in high volume environments is preferred.
Thorough knowledge of food preparation and purchasing
Strong organizational, communication and PC skills.
A commitment to excellence in guest service is essential.
Serve Safe Certification preferred.

Seattle Sportservice, the exclusive provider of food and beverage services for CenturyLink Field Event Center, is searching for a polished hospitality professional to join our team in a Suites Supervisor role! This is a part-time position averaging 20-24 hours per week, and will include event and game day shifts. The Suites Supervisor will support the Suites Manager in day-to-day departmental operations and will hve direct guest and suite holder contact.

Minimum requirements include: 

- Proven track record of success with direct client interaction within fast paced, constantly changing environments and a natural talent for exemplary guest service and client need management.

- A minimum of two (2) years experience in a supervisory or lead role within a high-end food and beverage, hotel/resort or like industry required. Previous experience in a stadium premium services department a plus but not required.

- Intermediate experience with MS Office products is required.

The Welcome Staff is responsible for:
- Operating the Sportservice Staff & Volunteer check-in tables.
- Providing a warm and friendly welcome to all newly hired Sportservice employees reporting for their first shift.

- Schedule availability to work all full stadium events, including but not limited to Sounders FC and Seahawks home games.
- Minimum of 2 years in a front-facing guest service role.
- Proven track record of handling confidential and/or sensitive information in a professional and appropriate manner.
- A friendly, can-do attitude and the ability to stay calm and positive during periods of high-stress. Must be highly detail-orientated, have a strong command of the English language (additional languages a plus!) and be a strong multi-tasker.
- Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for long periods of time for the majority of a shift, up to 12 hours.
