The Opportunity Do you want to be close to the action in a sporting venue? Are you tired of working in a traditional accounting environment working 9-5? Would you like to work in a fast paced fun environment? You are part of the excitement overseeing the financials and reporting functions of our Miller Park operations home of the Brewers. How cool is that? This position reports to the Controller.

The role will assist in the management of day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including supervision of accounting and cash room personnel. Preparation, review and approval of: Daily Sales Report, accounts receivable, payroll, and accounts payable. Ensures paperwork gets processed accurately, timely, with correct numbers. Responsible for analyzing and reporting variances, monthly financial projections, month-end accounting duties, oversees audit requirements and cash management. Prepare reports which outline unit's financial position in the areas of income, expenses, and earnings; provide proper preparation of statements after consultation with appropriate Corporate Management. Communicate with various corporate headquarter departments including accounting, financial planning and analysis, in exchange of information. Work closely with these departments to identify and resolve issues. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the annual plan budget and financial forecast. Analyze and interpret accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the unit. We are seeking candidates that are deadline driven, able to prioritize and adapt to the fast paced nature of our business, and able to work with a diverse group of managers at all levels.

Candidates will be considered for this unique opportunity that have at least three (3) years accounting experience including previous supervisory and cash management experience. Hospitality industry experience highly preferred. Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance highly preferred. Candidates who have strong analytical abilities, good planning and organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Ability to communicate with management regarding financials. Experienced in PeopleSoft Financials Software or similar system, Hyperion a plus and Microsoft Office. Looking for someone who is willing to travle and task force at other units.  This is an entry level position so we are looking for someone who is wanting to grow in the accounting field and move up in our company as we continue to grow!

Job Requirements:

Overview:
This position is located at Miller Park where you will help oversee three stores, one of which is open year round, and oversee approximately 90 employees and $7 million in revenue.

  • Sets up and checks on assigned suites prior to event, to ensure proper items are in place, in accordance with company procedures
  • Verifies and sets-up all pre-event food and/or beverage orders

  • Takes and places event-day food and beverage orders
  • Set-ups and checks on event-day food and beverage orders
  • Picks up food items and serves guests
  • Replenishes food, beverages, condiments and utensils as needed

Job Description:  The porter is responsible for event set-up, food transportation and service, guest relations and clean up related directly to Delaware North catered events inside and outside of Miller Park.

Knowledge and Skills:  Forklift experience ideal, but not necessary.  Food service experience a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

- Event set up includes:

  • Moving tables, product and other heavy items for events
  • Assisting culinary staff with loading of food product
  • Transporting food and beverage to multiple sites via fork lift or carts

- Event execution includes:

  • Monitor and stock all catering events as needed
  • Transporting food according to proper sanitation procedures
  • Assisting attendants with all guest requests
  • Communicating with culinary on any low amounts of food
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the pavilion areas and all storage areas

- Event break-down:

  • Moving tables, coolers and product for next event date
  • Handling of leftover food items for storage or disposal
