Unit Summary: This position will be located at the new Minnesota Twins stadium in Minneapolis, MN, home to the MLB American League Minnesota Twins. Minnesota Sportservice has been awarded the contract for this over 40,000-seat state of the art facility and is the premiere food, beverage and merchandise provider. The revenues for this contract are estimated to be $43 million, with a projected $3.6 million in retail merchandise sales. Your Role: The Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily in-stadium operations including team store, all event sales, as well as 3 external mall stores. Responsible for planning, purchasing of merchandise, inventory control, and store and portable merchandising standards, retail staffing and training. Responsible for meeting established retail sales and profit goals set by the General Manager and Delaware North Companies Corporate Director of Retail. Also responsible for the maintenance of the Retail Pro point-of-sale system. Our Expectations: Qualified candidates must be customer service oriented with a minimum of 5 years retail management experience including proven skills in purchasing and merchandising. Experience in sales, purchasing and merchandising of officially licensed sports team related merchandise is preferred. The Role of a Regional Vice President: Responsible for managing the operations of assigned units to sustain the unit profitability and efficiency. Oversees and develops General Managers to ensure proper day-to-day operations of units. Analyzes operating reports to determine variances in actual financial results as compared to budgeted results. Establishes and maintains positive relationships with clients and makes contact with potential clients for new business development and participate in RFP’s and bid presentations. Monitors the status of ongoing projects, ensuring timely completion, recommending changes to attain maximum efficiency. Coordinates with the General Manager and facilities planning department on project design, layout, and remodeling of new or present unit, to include plans of physical and operational details.
